In April 2023 my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and given weeks to live. 

My wedding without my mum was something I just couldn’t imagine, so a few days after her diagnosis, on a lazy Sunday morning in bed, I asked Ellis how he felt about getting married.  

2 weeks later we had frantically pulled together a beautiful and intimate commitment ceremony, with just our close family in attendance. We told no one but our guests, and it ended up being the perfect day.

The only problem was, we still weren’t legally married. With the limited timeframe, we’d been unable to adhere to the 28 day rule and would have to do the ‘legal bit’ separately.

We decided to keep things just the two of us…we didn’t want to make it a big deal because we’d already had the ‘wedding’ but with this came the issue of who would act as our witnesses.

Do we ask family? Then we’d need to invite everyone.

Do we ask friends? That will ruin the secret.

Do we find strangers on the day? Could be risky & stressful.

Can we hire someone? Where do we find them?

We figured we couldn’t be the only couple struggling to find wedding witnesses and so out of this need ‘Find a Wedding Witness’ was born.

Having been through this personally, we understand how important it is to find people you can trust, and how stressful it can be to put your faith in strangers on one of the biggest days of your life.

Our goal with ‘Find a Wedding Witness’ is to put your mind at ease and provide professional, punctual and trustworthy witnesses to be part of your special day.
